Addressing the SMX Expo, Gary Illyes of Google announced that Google is about come with a new Google Panda Update, which can be expected in the next two to four weeks.
He further explained that it will be a data refresh, and not an algorithmic change. Site which suffered from an algorithm earlier might recover, but there are still some exceptions. However, new websites will be hit by this upcoming Google Panda Update.
Illyes further added that Google always wants to keep its content updated & fresh. But, currently this has to be done manually.

But, in a recent tweet we also saw that he directed webmasters that the Penguin updates would be just a month away.
If this happens, then the algorithm can easily get real time fresh data as compared to now when the data has to be manually refreshed to see any ranking changes for sites impacted by Penguin.
